Here's a few baby shower's I've been working on this summer:

Jenn is on of my most enjoyable Be True Design clients to date! The girl is on top of things and I'm actually crashing (i.e. helping Ruffles and Rouge Events) her wedding just so I can see how beautiful everything is going to turn out.

A few things I can't wait to see (some I've designed!)- hand made wooden tables with burlap and lace tablecloths, southern sayings for table numbers, corn hole boards and bocce ball areas, custom cocktails, sandalwood fans with tag programs and hand drawn map totes for the guests!

And really, that is not even scratching the surface!

So for Jenn's invitations, she wanted to set the mood of this amazing affair. While she wanted letterpress, we opted for a letterpress paper with flat printing in a nice slate grey. Flourishes bleed of the paper to add a little southern flair! The slate grey liner and RSVP envelope are in metallic which bring in a touch of formality while the hand sewn pocket says 'down home goodness'.

Here is just a few snippets of this invitation and its coordinating pieces. I'll be sure to show you all the amazing-ness of the wedding after September!

I have worked with Mary Louis since the 1st birthday of her little girl last year, but her 2nd birthday party has definitely topped the cuteness scale! She was going to have an 'under the Sea' party and wanted something to match Curran's adorable bathing suit:

I love it! Can't wait to see what we come up with next year!

Megan wanted a super fun theme birthday for her son's 2nd birthday. She came up with a 'Little Man Tie and Mustache Bash!' She wanted lots of stripes and polka dots and to stay in the color palette of orange, blue and green. Here's what we came up with:

The menu included Bow tie Pasta and PB&J's shaped like ties. We made some food tent cards and napkin wraps:
Finally, all the guests were sure to leave with a tie shaped cookie, that included a thank you favor tag from Tripp:

Such a cute idea for a party for a little boy!

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, I have once again been attacked by a cold bug. Seriously, I must have the immune system of a newborn. So multiply me not feeling so hot with a bunch of order and project deadlines and you get a very very lonely blog.

I didn't want to leave you totally hanging, so I'm leaving you for the weekend with some amazing pics from a wedding of one of my brides. Katie really nailed every detail for her vintage farm wedding, and I'm so happy that everything turned out how she's been planning! The die cut invitation is still one of my favorites to date. And when the fabulous Cheree got married her self in 06, she put together an amazing wedding suite that was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings:

It seems everywhere I go lately there are nautical themes, in fashion, in decor and now in weddings! I came across this fabulous picture the other day and thought it makes for a great nautical themed wedding inspiration:

I used the bright primary colors and played with stripes and knots. I think a knot handle tote bag would be the perfect welcome gift for guests to this weeding!

On a side note, I am devastated by all the destruction the south has been put through the past 2-3 days. I spent about 5 years of my life in Alabama going to school at Auburn, so my heart aches for all my many friends and family who are recovering today. We were blessed that East Tennessee didn't take too hard of a hit (power lines, trees and power down). I ask that you take a moment to be thankful to God for what you have and to donate your time or resources to the Red Cross or any other organization that will be assisting in the recovery efforts.

Katie might be one of my favorite brides to date! She was so sweet and wanted an invitation that would reflect her easy going style and the southern vintage wedding she was having on her family's farm in May. She opted for a die cut invitation with some floral lace details and paired the invite up with a kraft paper envelope. So happy how they turned out!
